What it does
Vitamin C derivatives were developed to make vitamin C more stable and better absorbed in skincare. In trials, topical vitamin C made skin smoother and measurably lightened pigmentation.
What it can’t do
Derivatives differ in how well they work, and the vitamin C trials were small. The ascorbic acid in this formula is listed at 10 ppm (0.001%), so the formula relies on the derivative.

How long to wait

Vitamin C trials suggest long-term use may be needed for visible change. Give it at least 8 weeks.
